The rocky landscape is littered with meth labs run by drug gangs. There are natural dangers too, abandoned mines and broken-down ranches with people living in them.
One night, a group of friends set up camp to watch the Leonid meteor shower. A space rock crashes to earth nearby. A group of Satan worshippers and other religious fanatics believe that the meteor heralds the birth of a new Messiah. The first person to reach that meteorite becomes the target of a deadly chase.
What’s really going on? Is this the dawn of a new spiritual age, or just a bunch of psychos raging in the desert?
“Moonlight Rocks: Murder and Magic” by Yurie Kiri is the newest addition to a wonderful mystery series! This author really knows how to make a story shine, how to keep a reader’s interest from the first word to the last.
Religion is a major theme in this book, though it seems to combine elements from many different religions. I’d recommend this book to an older audience because of its mature content, like its use of curse words and mention of subjects like eroticism and murder... this book is for readers who enjoy strange storylines, reading crime and mystery novels, and plots that involve mystical religious elements.
This book is so good! I read this book without having read the two previous ones, nevertheless, I can say that definitely I will be getting them very soon. The author kept me captivated all the time I read, so much that I had to know what was happening next. Mystery, crime… the creativity the writer has and the amount of knowledge she manages is bast enough to put together such an interesting book like this.
